VENEERS LAS VEGAS
Smile with confidence
Research shows people form an initial judgement within the first 5 seconds of meeting someone. Did you know, 50% of people say that someone’s smile is the first thing they notice? One of the simplest and most impactful ways to make a positive first impression whether at work or in social situations, is simply through a confident smile. Smiling not only conveys warmth and approachability but also reflects self-confidence. Human psychology is complex, but when we look good, we feel good, and when we feel good, we project a sense of ease and positivity, making others feel comfortable in our presence.
Do you avoid smiling in front of cameras? Do you often cover your mouth or feel embarrassed from smiling? Do you ever look back at your social media and take posts down after zooming into how you smile? This happens more than you think.
BENEFITS OF DENTAL VENEERS
A confidence boost is great, but dental veneers can also increase the health of your teeth. As we age, our gums can recede revealing sensitive and unesthetic roots. Our teeth can get thinner and weaken from wear, diet, and fractures leaving chipped teeth and dark triangles where food can get caught. The good news is that porcelain veneers are custom made to fit over your teeth and only your teeth. Each smile we create is fully bespoke, meaning we’re here to address your cosmetic concerns to fit your needs.
TYPES OF VENEERS
Porcelain veneers
Porcelain ceramic veneers or ceramic veneers are the most popular veneers available. These are the thin, hand-made ceramic shells that cover your teeth. Each porcelain veneer is hand layered and baked by a master ceramist. As a result, they are incredibly strong and long lasting but can be trickier to make look natural. If you have multiple teeth that need corrections in color and shape, porcelain veneers may be a great option for you. It is very important that you choose the right cosmetic dentist who works with a well-trained team. Both are essential to creating a seamless and natural smile.
Composite veneers
Composite veneers or composite bondings are a great option for chipped teeth. Composite veneers are made of tooth colored filling material that is layered in the dental chair to create texture and dimension. Composite veneers are a great option for minimally invasive treatment of chipped teeth. Because of the composition and nature of composite, dental bondings often are limited by the existing tooth color and can be weaker than porcelain veneers. Many patients elect to have composite veneers due to the ability to have treatment completed the same day.
Porcelain veneers vs porcelain crowns
It is important to note the difference between porcelain veneers and porcelain crowns. Porcelain veneers typically only cover the front surface of your teeth. Porcelain crowns however, cover the front surface and biting surface of your teeth. Porcelain crowns, while they require more removal of tooth structure, can be better long term options for teeth than porcelain veneers. When teeth have significant decay, it may weaken the tooth more to put a porcelain veneer instead of a porcelain crown. Have questions about porcelain veneers and porcelain crowns? Dr. Kevin Tan will go over each tooth with you and provide you a review of what options will give you the best smile makeover.
